From the Galápagos Islands
Stories, memories and emotions—transformed into music.

About Hein
Poet, songwriter, creative composer and photographer.
Hein Angermeyer grew up in a place that can sometimes feel very far away from the rest of the world—the Galápagos Islands. Surrounded by ocean, wildlife, dramatic landscapes and the rhythms of nature, he developed an early love for photography and poetry.
Over the years, Hein has lived, worked and travelled extensively in Europe, particularly Germany. Those journeys introduced him to different cultures and to the many ways people live, think, love, celebrate, struggle and say goodbye. Yet, no matter how far he travelled, the Galápagos Islands continued to call him back.
Today he writes poetry and songs inspired by nature, personal experiences, relationships, memories, journeys and emotions. Sometimes a song begins with only a few words, a memory or an idea someone finds difficult to express. Hein helps transform those fragments into lyrics—and into a song created especially for that story.
“Sometimes the most meaningful songs begin with something very simple: a story that deserves to be heard.”Share your idea →
